Nick Reed

LEAD PASTOR

Nick and Heather have been married since August of 2005 and have four children; Judah, Micaiah, Margaret-Lexie, and Iverlee-Jean.  For the past three years they have called Urbandale home, previously living in Ankeny, Grimes, and Des Moines. Nick and Heather have a deep love for the Church and it’s role in God’s plan for bringing the good news of Jesus to the world. They have been working in ministry for fifteen years, extending back into their college days, serving in various roles from youth to worship to lead pastor. Nick and Heather both graduated from Bible college with a Bible and Theology degree, with Nick adding a double major in Youth Ministry. They are highly involved in the community and have a heart to serve it well.

Before becoming the lead planter/pastor of CityPoint Church, Nick worked for 12 years at the same church in various roles from youth pastor to worship pastor and finally lead pastor. Nick and Heather love attending their kids sporting events, being outdoors, watching family movies, and going on vacation to the beach.

PASTORS TEAM

The bible is clear that soul care and spiritual oversight in the church is given to a group of men called Pastors/Overseers/Elders. At CityPoint Church, they are know as the Pastors Team, serving as examples of a mature Christian life, and caring for the souls of the church with compassion and authority.

Our City Service team helps us stay focused on our primary mission: service to our city. The City Service team is always looking to find and create opportunities for us to serve in a variety of areas across our city. This team also works to create new connections and relationships with community members to best determine what needs there are across our city and how we can best meet those needs.

Our Guest Services team is here to help YOU!  From the moment you pull into our parking lot until the moment you leave, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable as you explore and learn more about our church.  The Guest Services team is here to help answer any questions you may have and connect you to the right resources.  How can you find them?  The Guest Services team will be the first people you meet as you walk in, ready to greet and serve you!

The Children’s Ministry team is dedicated to creating high energy programming for all of our CityKids programs. In addition, this team ensures proper security measures are in place across all of our children’s ministries, including our nursery. If you would like your child to participate in CityKids programming, a check-in table is staffed and available to answer your questions ahead of every service.

The Worship Team gives those with musical talent the opportunity to build an active worship culture within our church and community. This team works to expand our worship beyond the sermon message, giving praise and glory to God through joyful, passionate musical expression.

The CityPoint Finance Team helps provide financial oversight for the church. This includes budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies.

The Set-Up Team transforms our rented space into a place where CityPoint can gather for spiritual nourishment and worship, while leaving the space looking better than when we arrived.
