Broken Vessels

Broken Vessels

]After Resurrection Sunday, let us continue worshiping the God who chooses to rescue us and reveal himself to us through Jesus Christ. We know Scripture says he continues to show Himself to the world through His church, Christ followers, who are weak and imperfect, but God chooses to redeem and empower us as imperfect vessels for His message of perfect redemption and reconciliation to Him and to others. This song is based on 2 Corinthians 4:7, and one of the verses in it says:

"You take our failure
You take our weakness
You set Your treasure
In jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord
I'll be Your vessel
The world to see
Your life in me"

We pray this song is a blessing to you this week and will be beneficial for your personal worship. We're excited to sing it with you this coming Sunday.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10
