Prophecy Addendum and Israel
CityPoint: Prophecy Addendum and Israel
Alana and I as well as Nick and Heather were able to attend a prophecy conference over Revelation in October. There have been a few things that I was shown which I have been meaning to send out as some clarification has been obtained. I also want to send out something about Israel. There is also something a good friend of mine shared with me that is also prophecy related. So, we will divide this into 3 Sections: My friend’s words, prophecy items, and Israel. I don’t want to get ahead of myself here, so….
As always, be a Berean and challenge against Scripture what is written here, the words I say or anyone, for that matter, who speaks about the Bible. The church as a whole would not be so far off track if Christians who sit in church would know, study, and challenge all things against Scripture. This is incumbent on all of us. Remember, the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10). This is why prophecy is pivotal to our walk with Jesus. He made a promise, and He will fulfill it! Praise HIM!!!
Section 1: Jason Campbell
My good friend Jason who is also a firefighter with me in Urbandale is a dear Believer. We text back and forth near daily with yet another Believer firefighter in Urbandale, Josh Lux. Our texts focus on Scripture references, what is going on the world, our firefighters’ Bible study, etc. I had sent a text about Satan’s first deception which was to Eve which was in essence, “Did God really that?” Then, Satan’s current deception to the church: “Does God’s Word really say that?” I was texting in reference to how the church is getting so far off base today (more of this later) because we have pastors who don’t teach from God’s Word, and we have people sitting in chairs or pews or whatever who are not good Bereans, see every single intro of my writings.
Jason Campbell then sent me this: Ecclesiastes 1:9: “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.” There are numerous patterns to prophecy, and I always to try to highlight those throughout my prophecy notes, and I even discover more and more while studying Scripture. I clearly never recalled this verse as I would have tied this verse into that concept. God is definitely about order and repetition. Prophecy highlights that. I find this fascinating!
Section 2: Prophecy Addendum
There are three clarifying points I want to send out regarding what I learned at our Revelation conference in October: the scroll, the 144,000, and the 2 Witnesses. Please review previous notes sent out through the Resource Blog.
The scroll, Revelation 5:1. We discussed the scroll as the title deed to the earth. We did reference some Scripture with that point as you know that it is a big deal to interpret Scripture with Scripture. Well, it would seem with Scripture that it may also be the judgements of God which fits well with the rest of Revelation as the seals are broken, and the scroll is opened. Where do we find this? Zechariah 5:1-4! It even mentions it being written on both sides. Just wanted to provide an additional perspective here.
The 144,000 Jews marked, Revelation 7:1-8, 14:1-5, as well as other mentions throughout Revelation as being protected. We discussed these Jews were virgin males as specifically alluded to in Revelation 14:4. Well, Jeremiah 31:1-14 references the term virgin to whole nation of Israel which would include men and women. That being said, I cannot say emphatically the 144,000 are virgin, males, yet it still could be so. This could reference both men and woman and maybe virginity isn’t even in question. It could reference their viewpoint from God to them as set aside for His purpose. This was interesting to realize this.
The 2 Witnesses, Revelation 11:1-14. We mentioned several possibilities about who the 2 Witnesses could be. I learned of another which I am convinced this is who they are. Reference Haggai 2 and Zechariah 3-4. It refers to Joshua and Zerubbabel. I don’t really need to say any more about this if you read these chapters. It seems blatantly obvious if you consider how these two men are referenced in the Old Testament to how they are mentioned in Revelation 11.
Section 3: Israel
I found it quite fascinating that we were at a conference about the end times and two other prophecy conferences were being held in the country at the same time. This was our Revelation conference in October I mentioned earlier, specifically the 4th through the 6th. So, there were three prophecy conferences going on at the same time throughout the US. Ours had finished, and we were home on Friday evening. The two others were going through Saturday into Sunday. Well, October 7th is when Israel was attacked as they were and has responded as such. If you aren’t paying attention to this and how the world is responding, I am going to be very blunt in that you need to get your head out of the sand!
The world has Jerusalem and the Jews in their crosshairs. This is prophecy in itself. I would suggest you consider Zechariah 12:1-4 specifically but the whole chapter is good. The world is divided on Israel. They literally want to divide it and Jerusalem, again. You see anti-semitism at its peak. It will be a continued dividing point among the nations and the church going forward. Books have been written on this. I will not be exhaustive here, but you must know that time is growing short. What is going on in Israel is, once again, another checkbox that end times are in full force.
Do not be as II Peter 3:4 warns against by saying the world is going to continue as it is since the beginning. Everything is changing. Everything is moving in one direction: The 70th Week or Tribulation as you may know. Israel is a key piece to this. It doesn’t mean I am for the annihilation of Arabs in the Gaza Strip even though I am emphatically for the dismantling of Hamas. It doesn’t mean I don’t think Israel ever does anything wrong even though I do feel and can support through Scripture that we should support the Jews and Israel as a nation. They both serve a pivotal role going forward. They are in their land as God declared it would be so as we enter these last days.
I mentioned earlier about how the church has gotten off base by not being a good Berean (Acts 17:11). The Jews and Israel are definitely part of that. I will emphatically say replacement theology is wicked at its core. What is replacement theology? It says the Jews and Israel matter no more. The church has replaced Israel. Again, this would take numerous pages to exhaust the argument. In simplicity, this is ignorant thought. The church is distinct from Israel, and Scripture declares it. The whole fact that Israel is back in their land is a miracle from the hand of God in and of itself. Why? Because the end of days are quickly approaching…
Therefore, pay attention, get your house in order, and proclaim the name of Jesus to the lost! Time is drawing short for God’s wrath to be poured out on mankind in preparation for Jesus to return to Earth and rule and reign for 1000 years. I cannot stress this enough.
MARANATHA!!!
