Prophecy and Current Events - Michael Gentosi

I am just going to be blatantly honest and speak from my heart. We are in a time like no other. We live in the days the prophets longed for. The days in which there is a convergence of events like no other time in history. Many people say, “hasn’t every generation said this?” That is true as the doctrine of imminency with the Rapture is always present. The Rapture and Jesus’ Second Coming are two distinct events. I am not discussing that here. I am discussing the birth pangs in which we are witnessing the world going through.

There seems to be a lot going on in the world. Some wonder if prophecy is even worth talking about. Let’s review some good points to consider in how prophecy is alive and well today:

We can see prophecies pivotal to the end times being formed:

  1. One World Government: the World Economic Forum is pushing hard towards a world governance.

  2. One World Religion: the Pope has been working hard at bringing the Abrahamic Religions together, never mind we have the world worshiping creation as a religion with the climate change movement.

  3. One World Economy: ever heard of SWIFT,  or if so, did you hear about it before this Russia war with Ukraine? Nevermind, we have the push for digital currency.

  4. Anti-Christ: we have no Anti-Christ yet, but through COVID and now the Russia/Ukraine War, we see a continually crying out for a world leader to step up and lead the world through these crises. Literally, government leaders are quoted with saying these very things.

  5. Marking system: Vaccine passports? This is not the mark, hands down, but we are seeing a conditioning of the population to receive a mark like no other time in history. Obviously, this seems to be winding down as it pertains to COVID, but oddly enough, China is supposedly going into new lockdowns due to COVID rearing its head again.

  6. Wars and rumors of wars: we have multiple fronts where this is applicable. It is said that since WWII, we haven’t had more than 14 days of peace on the earth.

  7. Famines, pestilences and earthquakes: These have been on the rise in our time like no other time. Interesting that Ukraine has 25% of the world’s wheat and a large amount of the world’s barley. Russia and Ukraine are also major producers of fertilizer. The food chain will most likely be impacted to some degree by this war. Keep in mind, the World Economic Forum’s Klaus Schwab has stated we need a war to further implement their plan. One of the many reasons why we know we are close to the end is the rebirth of Israel. Below is not exhaustive:

  1. It is said that the Jews are God’s timepiece, the land of Israel the hour hand, Jerusalem the minute hand, and the yet-to-be-rebuilt 3rd Temple is the second hand.

    • The Jews were brought back to their ancestral homeland and a nation created on May 14, 1948.

    • Jerusalem was conquered by the Israeli Defense Forces during the 1967 war. Before that, it was split into East and West Jerusalem. Also interesting is that the IDF conquered the “mountains of Israel” (Golan Heights) in this war which is a pivotal piece to the Ezekiel 38-39 War which we can see the alliances being built as to who will invade and the protesting nations who are against the invasion being in normalized peace now with Israel through the Abraham Accords.

    • The Temple is yet to be rebuilt, but the Temple Institute (https://templeinstitute.org) is ready to start once they are given the go-ahead. Keep in mind, we do not need a temple for the Rapture to occur. This could really be a part of the covenant that is enforced between the anti-Christ and Israel (Daniel 9:27).

  2. There were two dispersions of the Jews from their homeland. The first one was in two phases: first Israel, then Judah as they split into two kingdoms. They were regathered prior to Jesus’ first coming. They were then dispersed in AD70 after Rome dispersed them and sacked the temple.

    • Isaiah 11:11 specifically states the Jews will be regathered a 2nd time “in that day.” Whenever we see “in that day” and it can be referenced a few different ways, it is speaking about the end times. The Jews started their regathering in May 1948 for the 2nd time.

    • Isaiah 66:8 specifically challenges, can a nation be built in a day? It would be worth studying how the Jews declared their independence, but it occurred just as Isaiah 66:8 stated. There was great chaos, and the morning of May 14, 1948 David Ben-Gurion announced to the world that Israel is a nation.

    • Ezekiel 37 is again another reference to the rebirth of Israel. Ezekiel is taken to a valley where he sees it full of dry bones. The dry bones come together, are given life, their sinews (ligaments and tendons) are formed, etc.

We can also see what Romans refers to as a reprobate mind and 2 Timothy 3 as seeking knowledge yet not coming to the truth. We can find this in: climate change (worshipping creation more than the creator), Satanic ritual of child sacrifice (abortion, pro-choice, however society wants to water it down), sexuality outside the confines of marriage, sexuality between same genders, genders are determined by the individual not by our DNA, etc. All these lead to reprobate thinking which simply blinds us to truth. It isn’t even supporting it but being indifferent to it. In today’s age, you are considered hateful if you speak truth. Always consider though, we must speak truth in love. Pushing against wickedness isn’t a call for being hateful.

Nonetheless, we live in exciting times! None of this should cause us to be in despair. We should know by all of this the Lord is true to His Word! What He said would come to pass is building. This should just provide us a sense of urgency to tell people about Jesus, so they can experience His redeeming love. It is said that as we see events unfold that lead to Jesus’ Second Coming the Rapture must be close. This is like seeing all the Christmas decorations being put out in the stores then knowing that Thanksgiving is imminent.
