ADOPT A FAMILY

Merry Christmas, CityPoint Church…..too soon? Well, it is that magical time of year where we start planning and raising money to adopt a family or two for Christmas. To bring some joy to the family. We never know the families whole story but we know they are in need and we have since prelaunch been able to bring presents and food to some local families. We have given every family the Christmas Story so they all can read about our Lord and Savior. Below are a few different things that we have experienced over the years. If you ever want to hear more stories or have any questions please ask! Be watching for the bucket to put your change in!

One year gifts were being delivered and there was a little one watching out the door as the delivery was made. This family didn’t have money for a tree or any decorations. They were so appreciated they covered people with hugs and many thank yous! Smiles that have gone miles long!
We have families who were in need of things like a pillow or blanket to keep warm.
Last year was probably the hardest, we had a family we had been shopping for, on day of delivery we are informed the eldest child had passed away. They said we could still come and deliver gifts the next day. We delivered everything, even the gifts for the eldest child. When the gifts were delivered we were able to pray with the Mom and younger brother. We were able to listen to the Mom just pour out what was on her heart. We also were able to attend the funeral and pray with individuals at the funeral.

So it may seem like we are just doing some Christmas Shopping but it really is so much more than that. We need to share the Lord’s joy and be his servants at all times. If you are willing to donate please find the bucket on Sunday (the next three Sundays).

Thank you,

CityService Team

Youth group families! 6th - 12th Grade

We are excited for our Friendsgiving event we have planned for Wednesday, November 23rd from 3:00 - 9:00 pm

We have a fantastic day planned with service projects, dinner, games and surprise speaker. In order to make this day a success, we are requesting a few items for the service projects and the dinner. If you have the ability to provide an item, please sign up in the link below. If you would rather make a monetary donation to support the event, we will take that as well. You can donate https://citypointu.churchcenter.com/giving/to/youth-ministry
You do not have to donate in order to participate.

One other way you can support is via your prayers:
- prayer for good weather in order to complete the service projects planned
- prayer for students to attend and bring friends who haven't been to youth group
- prayer over our speaker and the students hearts are open to receive it
- prayer for every student to serve with a Jesus attitude
- prayer over the requested list that God provides

Thank you for your support of CityPoint Youth group.

We are looking for 6 Parents to help chaperone the Service Projects. This is from 3:00 -5:30pm that day. Please contact Heather if you are available. 515-418-0997 (Heather)

HELP WANTED

Guest Services is looking for help in this Ministry.

If you're willing to create a warm, welcoming, inviting experience and help prepare communion than this Ministry is for you. In Guest Services, you are creating environments where life change happens!
We currently are in need of a few more people to help out Guest Services each week. You arrive 20 minutes before church starts. Make coffee and prepare communion.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in or have questions please see either Kim or Steve Troja.

I Peter 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.

Generosity: As always, Thank You very much to those who give financially. Please consider moving us forward in God's vision for CityPoint Church by clicking on the "Give Now" button below.
