September 29th - Middle School Youth Group - Urban Heights Church Bldg. 7605 Aurora Ave. 6:15-8:00pm.
September 30th - Prayer in the Park - Lions Park Gazebo - 6:45-7:15pm
We gather to Pray for one another, our City Leaders, our Church and Church Family. Please join us for 30 minutes of Prayer.
October 2nd - Men Rising UP - Twisted Bean Coffee on Merle Hay Road - 7:00-8:30am
This is a Bible study that is open to all men. Josh (Trapper) Jones leads this ministry. If you should have any questions please email Trapper - trapper@midwestbirdcontrol.com.
October 3rd - Sunday Gathering - Urban Heights Church Bldg. Our Passage for this Sunday is from the book of Matthew verses 3:1-12.

Prayer and Worship night will be Oct. 7, 6:45-7:15pm,
at the Lions Park Gazebo.
This is a special worship and prayer rally night. We weekly meet for prayer at that same time and place, but we wanted to do a worship gathering out there while we still had good weather, as well as to rally for extra encouragement and unity through prayer and singing now that we're several weeks into the school year. Invite friends and neighbors to join us in worship and to pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed in our churches, neighborhoods, city, nation, and world.
Meals from the Heartland Registration
Meals from the Heartland - October 30th - 9:00 - 11:00am
Who is your “ONE”? Have you been praying for someONE to join us at CityPoint? Have you been praying for someONE to accept Jesus as their savior? This event is designed to encourage you to invite your “ONE” to join us in serving. This is a great opportunity for them to make connections with others from CityPoint. Details: Address is 357 Lincoln St., West Des Moines. Meals from the Heartland will supply everything we need to complete this task. You have to be 14 or older to volunteer. If you are 8 years old to 14 you must be with an adult. We will have a sign up sheet for this event on Sunday so please stop by the "Get Connected" table or click the link below.
November 6th Fellowship Event
Do you like to have fun? Do you like to laugh? Are you a little bit competitive? Do you like dessert? Then you do not want to miss out on this Fellowship Activity November 6th! This is an adult activity and will go from 3:30pm to 6:30pm! We will have more details very soon! :)
ADOPT A FAMILY
There will be a big bucket every week by the Get Connected table until Thanksgiving. If you have some change you can spare, a buck, or twenty throw it in the bucket. We are raising money for Adopt a Family! We are excited to be able to serve families of Urbandale again this Christmas season. Adopt a Family is my favorite holiday activity with the church. Adopt a family are families that have fallen on hard times and just can't afford Christmas. They ask for things like winter coats, boots, gloves, food. We have delivered to families that do not even have the luxury of a Christmas Tree. The smiles on the faces say it all.
We will have more information about Adopt A Family in a few weeks. So for now we are asking for donations.
T-shirts:
There are new shirts available to order. There are 2 new designs: the new volunteer shirt is the "Neighbor" shirt, and the all new CityPoint Vision Frame shirt representing Share, Connect, Serve, and Lead, which can be ordered in multiple styles.
