Meals from the Heartland - October 30th - 9:00am-11:00am

Meals from the Heartland will supply everything we need to complete this task. You have to be 14 or older to volunteer. If you are 8 years old to 14 years you must be accompanied by an adult.
This service event is designed for you to bring your WHO'S YOUR ONE along with you. This is a great way for them to make connections from people with CityPoint.
This will be your last week to sign up for this event if you are interested. We need to give Meals from the Heartland a definite count of people attending.
Sign up at the "Get Connected" table on Sunday if you haven't already.
Adopt A Family
Our Adopt A Family donation bucket is filling up! Each week we will have the bucket by the "Get Connected" table for your donations. CityPoint Church does this CityService event every year. This is near and dear to our hearts. What we do is collect donations for families that have fallen on hard times and can't afford Christmas. Sometimes the families do not have a Christmas Tree or any decorations. We then go shopping for the families that we receive from UCAN. We typically shop for gifts for each of the family members and give them a grocery gift card for Christmas dinner. The families are usually around the Urbandale area.
If this sounds like something you would like to donate too - please drop you spare change, checks or cash in the bucket. We will be collecting money until Thanksgiving weekend.

FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITY
November 6th
Let's come together for an adult fellowship activity. There will be teams and a lot of laughter! We will have more information coming soon. So in the meantime mark November 6th on your calendar. Let's encourage one another before the crazy holiday season starts.
Partnership Opportunity
Urban Heights, Shalom and CityPoint will come together to put on "Back to Bethlehem" for the community. This is an event that has taken place for many years in the past. They have had "storefronts" set up in the gym, the story of Jesus' birth, animals outside, and so much more. This year everything will be outside. There will be storefronts set up outside with crafts,, there will be animals, the story of Jesus' birth will be told and fun treats! This will take place the first Saturday in December, 4th, 2021. We need volunteers. We need volunteers to bake cookies,, to help tell the story of Jesus, to help get people in and out of costume, to help with the store fronts. If you have a specific interest let Jack Kosloske know.
